World Forestry Center

The World Forestry Center is situated in Portland’s beautiful Washington Park, adjacent to the Oregon Zoo. Since its establishment in 1964, the Center has inspired lifelong appreciation and love of forests in thousands of school children and adults alike.

Its Discovery Museum is filled with hands-on, interactive exhibits designed to introduce you to the amazing systems, structure and life cycle of forests. 

The Center offers:

• Courses in forestry
• Evening lectures
• Special events
• Activities for school classes

In addition, it operates two working forests and manages them according to the principles of sustainable forestry.
