Tillamook Forest Center
The Tillamook Forest Center sits nestled in a forest overlooking the Wilson River. A little more than an hour’s drive from Portland, the Center offers a truly unique learning experience. With a climbable, 40-foot forest fire lookout tower and a 250-foot-long pedestrian suspension bridge, the Center has many places to explore and many stories to tell.
The Tillamook Forest Center showcases the legacy of the Tillamook Burn and the reforestation effort that followed. In many ways, it helped shape the sustainable forest management practices in use in
Oregon forests today.
