Two new educational television spots produced by the Oregon Forest Resources Institute illustrate Oregon’s forest protection laws and their emphasis on replanting. New OFRI volume offers tips to enhance wildlife habitat - 07/22/2011

A surge of research in recent years has revealed much about the habitat needs of forest wildlife, and now that research is available to forest landowners in a publication from the Oregon Forest Resources Institute. The new book offers a synthesis of recent science findings, as well as case studies highlighting success stories of Oregon’s forest landowners. Using forestry techniques, landowners can shape, enhance and even create wildlife habitats for birds, mammals and amphibians, while managing lands for timber production.
