Camping under starry skies
Camping is a fantastic way to enjoy Oregon’s forests, allowing us to experience life in the open. Oregon has more than 50 state parks and 15 national forests with year-round and seasonal campgrounds for tents and RVs. Some offer lodging in cabins and yurts. Numerous county parks also offer camping facilities.
It’s important to leave behind as little evidence of your stay as possible, which means picking up after yourself, properly starting and extinguishing campfires and remaining on designated trails.
Whether you want to nestle under the canopy of an old-growth forest or lie on the edge of a sandy beach, Oregon’s forests offer a wide variety of camping experiences.
