The "Log Scaling for Timber Cruisers" seminar is designed for timber
cruisers and resource managers who want to learn how to measure logs,
apply sort and grades, and make defect deductions like a scaler would.
It is a two day seminar which consists of lecture, class participation,
visual presentations and a field session. The ultimate goal of the
seminar is to help participants apply scaling concepts as they are
cruising timber.
All participants are encouraged to ask questions relative to "real" problems important to their organization.
The basic idea behind this course is to learn to cruise and produce data that can be used for planning and appraisal.
