The OFRI Board is sponsoring a Green Building Update for the
Forest Sector.
Tentative Agenda
Dr. Eric Hansen, OSU Wood Science & Engineering, will present on the global social context of forestry and the implications for environmental marketing and green building.
Dr. Chris Knowles, Oregon Wood Innovation Center, will give an update on green building certification systems with an emphasis on residential applications and a report by OSU-UO-PSU research team on the information needs of Oregon architects and engineers related to using “green” structural materials.
Dr. Jennifer Allen, Portland State University will moderate a panel discussion to explore what Oregon’s forest sector can do to take advantage of green building and what the state of Oregon can do to promote this process.
